EDIdEv On-Site EDI Training

EDI Training implementing Framework EDI:

We offer on-site EDI training to programmers at a flat rate of $1700 (plus travel expenses) over a period of 2 days at your site.  The training is designed to teach programmers to process EDI files with Framework EDI, but focusing on their EDI project.  The training is informal and will cover at least the following topics:

• Understanding Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
• Understanding Standard Exchange Format (SEF) files
• Using the Framework EDI Utilities
• Generating an EDI file with Framework EDI components
• Translating an EDI file with Framework EDI components
• Checking for errors with Framework EDI components
• Generating an Acknowledgment file with Framework EDI components

• Editing and managing SEF files for better EDI validation
• Translating and generating EDI files to and from a database
• Sending and receiving EDI files securely over the Internet
• Improving the performance of Framework EDI components

The amount of topics covered in two days may be overwhelming for one person, so we recommend this training for a team of programmers.  Students are required to have their own computer notebook, with a programming language, and an implementation guideline documentation of their trading partner's EDI file.
